What is a good remedy for dry skin on my cats?

I have a long haired black cat. When I brush her, the dry skin flakes are just awful and I am afraid she may feel itchy. I am looking for something to help her, without giving her a bath. I think that would hurt both her and me. Any suggestions?What is a good remedy for dry skin on my cats?
Hey, you can try fish oil pills or drops in her food once or twice a day. You can find them at grocery stores or the drug store, pretty cheap. i guess just get a good shampoo for dry skin, and your supposed to bathe them like every 6-12 months. My cat had dry skin too, it could just be because of the weather and things like that, she still gets dry skin when the seasons change. :-]

U'll probly hav to bathe her though .... She won't like it, but it will help for sure with a good oatmeal animal shampoo.
What are you feeding her? She may be allergic to the food you are giving her.

mix a few drops of cooking oil in her food. this helps to condition the coat and get rid of the dry skin.

I have cut a couple off with small scissors. It really doesn't hurt, just hard to do. There is not much need in going to a doctor for something so minor.

Generally my skin has moisture in it (like my arms/legs), but my face is a different story. I dont get pimples, but I get small pimples in blotches because of dry environments or high heat/stress. i have sensitive skin and i use clearasil daily face wash for sensitive skin. it has skin conditioners in it and it makes pimples be at bay. i never get serious pimples, and when i do, they're on my hairline so no one can see them! this is a miracle product!!!!! it doesn't have any acne acid or medicine, it just cleans your skin and makes you have no pimples. make sure you use toner and lotion because then your face will be perfect.
St. Ives is really good. If you get the one that just says Facial Cleanser and has the yellow stripe it is perfect! It is extremely soft and smoothes your skin. It cleanes the pores and then use the Neutrogena pimple cream for the pimples. Works great!
I use Clinique, and I have psoriasis, so my skin is REALLY sensitive. Cetaphil works well, too, when I don't have the money for Clinique.

Does working out prior to getting a skin caliper body fat test affect the results?

I am supposed to go in to my gym to get my body fat percentage measured via skin calipers, but i am going in at 5 pm. I would really like to work out that morning as it is part of my schedule, but i think (have heard) that it would adversely affect the results and make the measurement inaccurate. It's a Gaussian Blur in Photoshop.





Draw a lasso round the area you want to make smoother.


Then press ctrl+D to feather the edge of the lasso (this depends on the image's size and resolution).
