What are these purplish spots under my skin on my fingertips?

I noticed the other day I have these purplish or reddish spots under my skin on my fingertips and tips of my toes, what would that mean? They follow the ';grain'; of the fingerprints. They look almost like broken capillaries, like when you get pinched, but the spots are purplish and I wasn't pinched at all. What could this be?What are these purplish spots under my skin on my fingertips?
do you have them round your ankles too, or bleeding gums when you brush your teath? Any bruises that you dont remember how you got them?





I had similar symptoms a few years ago and was diagnosed with ideopathic Thrombocytopenia (beat that in scrabble!). Its a blood disorder where basically your immune system attacks a certain part of the blood so stops your blood clotting, nothing too serious as long as you get it treated quickly (I had to take steroids for 6 months), and its not permanent. However if you dont get it treated it'll only get worse and become v dangerous then, any knock will cause massive bruises and a bang to the head could cause a brain heamorage.





Go to the doctors as soon as you can as the sooner its caught the less time you'll need treatment.What are these purplish spots under my skin on my fingertips?
