How to get rid of the dark skin on my neck from insulin resistance?

I was wondering if I QUIT sugar all together. (Yes I can do this, it's not hard for me) How much will this help my insulin resistance problem? Will it take the darkness away from my neck? I just started running and exercising and eating really healthy this past week. I will continue this forever. But I was wondering if I quit eating sugar all together, will this get rid of the darkness on my neck? %26amp; How much will quitting sugar help my body? Also, if you have any tips? Thanks! How to get rid of the dark skin on my neck from insulin resistance?
Quitting sugar will help, but primarily you MUST treat the Diabetes. Yes, Insulin Resistance is a form of Diabetes Type 2.

You will need a doctor's help to do this. You may need medications.

But quiting sugar, alone, is not the full answer. You ALSO need to reduce the amount of carbs you eat. Carbs turn into sugar during digestion.

Contact you doctor, and have a physical, including blood work to determine the severity and cause of your diabetes. during your visit ASK the doctor to refer you to a Nutritionist or Dietitian who can help you make better choice in the carb department. How to get rid of the dark skin on my neck from insulin resistance?
I agree w/the first answer.

1 tea spoon lemon juice

1/2 tea spoon olive oil and

1/3 t s sugar

u can rub it on the spots twice a day-in the morning and in the evening. It will fade in two weeks, even though it depends on how dark are the spots.
i used to have a lot of dark spots too and i also heard that lemon juice works but it really dosent it makes ur face breakout, sticky and it dosent work

How long does it typically take for skin to peel after a sunburn?

What are these purplish spots under my skin on my fingertips?

I noticed the other day I have these purplish or reddish spots under my skin on my fingertips and tips of my toes, what would that mean? They follow the ';grain'; of the fingerprints. They look almost like broken capillaries, like when you get pinched, but the spots are purplish and I wasn't pinched at all. What could this be?What are these purplish spots under my skin on my fingertips?
do you have them round your ankles too, or bleeding gums when you brush your teath? Any bruises that you dont remember how you got them?

I had similar symptoms a few years ago and was diagnosed with ideopathic Thrombocytopenia (beat that in scrabble!). Its a blood disorder where basically your immune system attacks a certain part of the blood so stops your blood clotting, nothing too serious as long as you get it treated quickly (I had to take steroids for 6 months), and its not permanent. However if you dont get it treated it'll only get worse and become v dangerous then, any knock will cause massive bruises and a bang to the head could cause a brain heamorage.

Go to the doctors as soon as you can as the sooner its caught the less time you'll need treatment. What are these purplish spots under my skin on my fingertips?
idk go see a doctor though

  • What colors work best for yellow undertone skin?

Im looking for a flattering blush and lip color that would look great with my skin tone which is medium to fair with Yellow undertones.

Or ill really apprecaite it if someone could post up a link to a website that has info on this.

Thanks in advance =) What colors work best for yellow undertone skin?
Blush and lipstick has nothing to do with your skin tone, foundation has to do with your skin tone. Are some blushes and lipsticks going to look better on you yes, but you should pick those colors based on your whole look. Do you want the look to be monochramatic, Monochromatic colors are all the hues (tints, tones and shades) of a single color, or an anlogus color scheme, Also called harmonious colors, are colors that are adjacent to each other on the color wheel. Some examples are green, light green, and yellow or red, orange and yellow.

Without seeing a picture it hard to determine, but I would suggest a neutral color and for an everyday look some of my favorite neutral color are Tenderling by Mac, Powder Blush, Tenderling

What's the best skin creams that you use to keep your skin looking youthful and healthy? Any reccomendations?

I'm using Oyl of Olay right now, any other good ones? I'm 37yo and want to keep this look for as long as I can! What's the best skin creams that you use to keep your skin looking youthful and healthy? Any reccomendations?
I suggest that you do not change your brand. Olay is great, since you didn't mention the name of cream, so i suggest that you use its Regenerist or Total Effects.

Just cleanse your face daily and exfoliate it weekly, you don't need to do so many things.

Remember, Beauty comes from inside, so dont forget to eat vegetables :DWhat's the best skin creams that you use to keep your skin looking youthful and healthy? Any reccomendations?
The clinique products are fantasitic their sets especially. i suggest using their creamy cleanser- (purple bottle green lid), with the light facial soap (green bottle green lid) and then the dramatically different mosturiser. (yellow lid and bottle). i used these for just a few days and was really amazed with the results.

Also the aveda products are good.

However, not being rich i tend to go for the cheaper options, just a body shop soap cleanser, which you use a brush to apply in circular motions and then wash off. And after that i use a boots toner and then nivea moisturiser.

Drink lots of water as well and you will look great. :)
i use clinique on my face as i have sensitive skin and although it can be expensive it is great and if used properly in decent amounts lasts for a long enough time. for the rest of my body i love palerms coco butter as it smells great is a wonderful moisteriser and has other benfits too.
Olay is great. don't switch creams now. all you need is a facial mask. i would recommend. queen helen mask. you can look it up and read it's reviews. it's not expensive at all and it really softens the skin.

Try Aveda products. www.aveda.com they are all natural, and they really work. I went to school at an Aveda school

What causes blush to turn orange on skin?

I heard something about the blush ';oxidizing';, though I don't know what this means.

I don't know if it has anything to do with quality because one of my Estee Lauder blushes does the same thing. What causes blush to turn orange on skin?
Oxidizing meant that there was a reaction either when applied to the face or a chemical reaction from the formula. The reaction when applying to the could have been your moisturizer that could have cuased the orange color. Another could be that you did not leave your blush at room temperature, therefore, substances in the blush could have changed and caused an oxidation reaction in your blush. What causes blush to turn orange on skin?

Oxidation - the process of oxygen reacting with a material. Some paints dry by oxidation (i.e. reacting with oxygen to form a film).

Oxidization is what happens when the oils on your skin mix with the foundation and makes it turn a shade or two darker than what it was initially. This usually doesn't happen to people with drier complexions. However, those with oilier and/or acne-prone skin: watch out.

    Oil-based foundations

Oil-based foundations have oil as their first ingredient and water usually as their second or third ingredient. Oil-based foundations feel greasy and thick, look and go on greasy, yet can blend out quite sheer.

Pros: Oil-based foundations can be very good for women with extremely dry or wrinkled skin. The emollient ingredients help the skin look very dewy and moist, which can minimize the appearance of wrinkles.

Cons: Oil-based foundations tend to be very greasy and/or thick and can look that way on the skin unless you are very adept at blending. They typically provide medium to full coverage and also have a tendency to turn orange on the skin after wearing them for awhile. This is because the extra oil in them affects the pigments in the foundation, causing them to oxidize. Additionally, if you wear face powder over this type of foundation, the oil grabs the talc and the face can appear coated and heavily made up. The same is true for blushes and eyeshadows鈥攖hey will go on more heavily and will also become darker once applied. Traditional cream blushes tend to work best over this type of foundation.

Products Worth Trying: Alexandra de Markoff Countess Isserlyn Cream Makeup ($47.50) and NARS Balanced Foundation ($38).

Revlon Colorstay. It works extremely well. I have oily skin as well, and with this foundation I do not have to apply as much of it for the needed coverage. I still use bronzer, but only to make it look 10x better! I wouldn't buy anything other than Revlon Colorstay, I'll use it for years to come!
I had the same problem. My face gets a bit oily and my makeup doesnt last all day but that was until I started using Origins foundation. I've never seen my face look so fresh and clear and it lasted for a total of 18 hrs. I was seriously up that long. But yeah it totally works and I love love love it.

How to help my chihuahua with dry skin?

My dog has dry skin making her itch alot. I use oatmeal shampoo on her and comb her hair every other day. Does anyone have any tips in ways I can help my dog with dry skin? How to help my chihuahua with dry skin?
I agree with some of the other poster's answers. But something that will help right away is Vitamin E. Get Vitamin E tablets (the ones with the liquid inside) and rub a little bit on the dry areas. It is an instant moisturizer. I've used this on guinea pigs ears when dried and it helped within hours. How to help my chihuahua with dry skin?
Feed a high quality food not sold at grocery stores, and add an oil supplement to her diet.
Pura, Pit Bull, and Angie made great suggestions. I'll just add to it. After taking your dog to the vet [just a quick exam, in case he could have a skin problem, just in case], get him some good foods like Natural Balance or Eagle Pack. They're both sold at petco and offer fantastic ingredients. Canidae, sold at smaller pet shops, have good formulas for healthy coats, and Innova, Wellness, and Orijen are also great foods. Good luck. :)
Sometimes dry skin is due to food allergies. Many dogs are allergic to the grains used in off-the-grocery-store-shelf dog foods. Maybe you could switch to a high quality dog food such as Innova Evo, Eagle Natural Pack Holistic, or Canidae. Sometimes dry skin just happens to dogs in the winter for the same reason it happens to humans. We stay inside where the air is pretty well dried out from keeping the home heated. In the summer time, when it is warmer, the air is moister, and dry skin isn't as much of a problem. You can also try giving your dog fish oil. You can buy it in small containers with pump dispensers and just pump out a little bit over her food at each meal. She won't like it, so you'll have to just keep giving it to her and let HER choose whether to eat or not. She won't starve herself, believe me, even if it takes her three days to accept the oil. You could give her the fish oil in capsules wrapped in cheese, but the capsules are kind of large, so she'd probably bite into them and she wouldn't like that one little bit. And finally, after you give her an oatmeal shampoo, you could rub a little conditioner onto her skin, especially in the places not covered by fur, such as her belly and the pads of her paws.
A change in diet maybe in order. If you are feeding a super market brand of dog food that could be your issue, try getting a higher quality food.

Now a supplement that may help your dog's skin and coat is fish oil. Also flax seed oil is good too.
She may not be getting enough fatty acids in her diet. We had to find a good nutritional supplement made especially for better skin and coat in dogs for one of my Chihuahuas, and after a week, it did the trick. Make sure you're not bathing her too often, as it will strip the oils from her skin and coat.
Change the shampoo and try a moisturizing formula, also do not rub her dry but PAT her dry, make sure youa re not washing her too much and thus stripping the oils from her fur

So far it works for my cousins and myself.
    Neutrogena

    It works great for me

I used to get acne all the time

    Now I used ';Neutrogena face-wash';

then I wipe my face with ';Clear Pore

    Oil- eliminating Astrngent';-also from Neutrogena

finally I put ';Clearasil ULTRA Vanshing Acne Treatment Cream';- but only directly on break-outs

i let it dry and so far so good
';Serious skin care, continuously clear'; from HSN. never seen results from anything else this good.I had acne too,now I have clear pretty skin.
Iv had the same problem for years! i finally gave up trying everything on the market. i got a perscription from the doctor. the cream is about $40 but my skin is the best its been in 10 years.
once i started drinking more water and eating less greasy stuff...my skin became better...and take it from me...wear a hat and dont let your face hit the sun too long....or too much..laney

p.s. start using a natural sunblock skin moisturizer...
I agree Noxzema is GREAT! I personally would stop using scented soaps because they tend to induce breakouts. Also try to use oil free products because it over accumulates over time :]

    good luck

How do you get that super clean skin that looks like it shines?

I look at some people and they look like they have really shiny skin, are they doing something or is it just natural? How do you get that super clean skin that looks like it shines?
What works best is to exfoliate (use something like Apricot Scrub) and then mosturize your face DAILY with something like ';Hope in a Jar'; by Philosophy or anything by Oil of Olay. It doesn't happen overnight, but within one to two weeks you will totally notice a difference and your skin will glow. How do you get that super clean skin that looks like it shines?
Your skin sheds dead cells so these need to be removed, use a loofer regularly to get rid of them and the fresh new cells will look good.

If you live in a hot country use sun protection cream to protect your skin as well.

KY Gel? Just a guess. Little goes a long way. Buy the stain free one. Go ask a massage parlor what it could be. They probably get the stuff first before it goes public on national grocery store shelves.

I have a very distant cousin who has it, and I'm wondering if it's genetic. Also, is this a rare disease, or is it actually very common and just not talked about? I'm African American and proud of my color, so naturally, I don't want to lose it. Not to mention the cost of treatments, and the possible need to bleach my skin to even everything out. 1% of the world's population gets this disease so I think it is rarer than other auto immune diseases.but here is a link that may help you understand.

What is the best cosmetics for oily skin and adult acne?

I have never had breakouts until the last year or so. My face is oily and the pores on my cheeks and chin are large. I need to know the best cleansing products and makeup. I have heard it is best to use products from the same line. It is horrible. I have blackheads. I never had one zit as a teen and now I am a mess. What is the best cosmetics for oily skin and adult acne?
Hi there. I started having adult acne last year although throughout my teens, I had small acne (more like whiteheads, tiny pimples). First of all, if you have the medical insurance, go see your dermatologist and discuss the proper methods on how to deal with your acne. He or she can help determine what level of acne you have (mild, moderate or severe). Usually adult acne is formed because of hormones. It's best to avoid foods or drinks that can affect your hormones and make it worse. Second, if you can't afford a dermatologist, try to use one of the three acne solvers: 1) Proactive Solution: I use this because it has really cleared up my skin and made me happy BUT it can be very strong and can dry out your skin if you don't use it moderately (start using twice a day and then go down to once a day if you need to). Proactive is expensive but worth trying. Proactive has their own skin cosmetics line too, designed to go with their products. 2)Neutrogena: you can buy this at any drugstore. It's fairly reasonably priced and a few of my friends say they like the Oil Free-Acne Wash. Like Proactive, Neutrogena also has cosmetics that help for your skin...use the water based ones only, oil free and they also have a mineral powder that is good for your skin. 3) Go simple and use whatever you think is best: sometimes all you need is a good oily skin routine: I have tried Kiehls, they have great skin care line for oily skin: The Foaming,Non-Detergent Wash for your face, The Calendula Toner with no Alcohol, and the Sodium PCA Moisturizer. It's expensive but worth it.

Or, just simply use Cetaphil, with a light toner and a good moisturizer with SPF. If you use any acne products, you need to use a SPF moisturizer because sun is not good for your acne and the chemicals you may be using.

Everyone's skin is different so you may want to test a few products out to see if they work for you. Also, if you do this, don't test it for only a few days...try a week or two to test for results. Then if it does not work, you need to wait a week or two before trying something else (don't use anything at this time your skin needs to heal and recover).

Get plently of exercise and drink lots of water, take Vitamin C and eat a healthy good diet with low fat foods, fresh veggies, and fruits, lean meats and nuts.

Good luck!Sometimes acne just goes away with time...if not...there is always a way to clear it up. Be patient and don't get discouraged. :) Do research and try to get samples to avoid paying lots of money for something that may not work.

JUST REMEMBER: what works for others may not work for you but given the right product and condition of your skin, you will find what works best for you! What is the best cosmetics for oily skin and adult acne?
I used Clearasil Daily Face wash on my extremely oily skin for years. I finally had to go to a dermatologist. He wrote me a script for basically the same thing just in a stronger form. If you can't see a dermatologist (which I recommend) then try that Clearasil Daily Face wash. I sometimes mixed it with a little bit of medicated apricot scrub and that helps too. Don't use alcohol after washing, use Sea breeze or a good toner. Bare Minerals is great make up for acne/oily prone skin. Its a little pricy but a tiny bit of that stuff goes a long way. What is the best makeup for sensitive skin?

I have really sensitive skin and i have tried so many different kinds of makeup all resulting in my face breaking out. Any suggestions on which makeup i should try next? What is the best makeup for sensitive skin?
    Well thats an issue obviously.

I had the same problem but with bronzer. I just tried many different ones. Try not to share your makeup bc then that also causes your face to break out. MAC/Sephora/ NAO/ and there are many out there. Each person has different skin so its kind of difficult to tell you exactly which one.

Best wishes.=)What is the best makeup for sensitive skin?
As a professional makeup artist for over 20 years I have seen first hand how many products cause allergies etc..

I can highly recommend Bee Luscious Cosmetics they are hypo allergenic and the quality is gorgeous! you will love the flawless look and finish as wel as how light and airy it looks and feels. All my clients rave about it.
LORAC make-up is just awesome. I recently started using it because MAC was making me break out.

LORAC is specifically made for sensitive or acne prone skin. plus it's great coverage and super light so it doesnt look or feel like you're wearing a mask.

I just love it. you can get it at sephora =)
You can try the Oil-Free Moisture SPF 15 since it's oil-free, it hydrates and protects without clogging pores. Makes a great primer for Mineral Powder or any other makeup...

What is the best foundation for oily skin?

I have EXTREMELY oily skin and I'm on the hunt for the best foundation to help with oily skin. I would prefer a foundation just to even out my skin tone, something light that won't rub or melt off my face and help control oil. Specific product recommendations highly appreciated! High-end, drugstore - doesn't matter. What is the best foundation for oily skin?
    Revlon ColorStay Foundation.

Trust me, it's the BEST. I have oily skin and it's the only foundation that doesn't get shiny or give me pimples.

I have combination skin and Prescriptive Cosmetics line (usually a counter in Macys or Dillard's) gives great coverage with oil control.I use the total coverage liquid foundation and had the loose powder foundation custom blended for a PERFECT look. The liquid cost about $35 and will last 5 months if you are using it everyday. The powder can last a year or more.

You will look like you are not wearing any makeup and your skin will look flawless.
Try any of the clinique foundations. They are great! Superfit Foundation from Clinique pulls excess oil away from your skin. You should try it. Or visit the clinique website and take their test to find out what foundation is best for you
POWDER FOUNDATION, or CREAM-TO-POWDER, or MATTIFYING POWDER FOUNDATION, look for anything oil-free and matte.

  • What is the best shade for my skin and what do I use?

I have dry to combo skin, and a light natural tan. It is hard for me to find the right shade. Is it better to go too light, too dark, or should I use a combination foundation/concealer? I appreciate all answers. What is the best shade for my skin and what do I use?
do you need to use foundation? personally i am not fond of foundation. they smell and look disgusting. especially on a hot hot hot day.. it goes all crusty. and anyway, the more you wear it, the more it ruins your skin. if you have a light natural tan... FLAUNT IT!What is the best shade for my skin and what do I use?
Try Bare Minerals by Bare Escentuals.
best to lean towards a yellow based foundation. most people are yellow tinted rather than pink. run a dab on white paper to verify the tint. other than that just put a little on your skin, let it sit for a few minutes, and see how it looks! good luck and happy 'hunting' ;)
    yes for bare minerals
You can go one shade darker. Buy liquid make up and if possible make sure that you buy a ';buff'; color, like buff beige, etc. Covergirl makes it. Don't buy the combination of concealer/foundation.....buy them seperate.....it works better.
    My expertise...

Mary Kay has 7 different types of foundation in all different shades that can meet the needs of any skin type. For combo skin you would want to lean torwards the medium coverage, but it also depends on your coverage preference. The trick to having a foundation that blends properly is to have own formulated to your skin, depending on how oily or dry you are. It is also important to always match it with the color of your neck and not your face. Your face gets more color and naturally is darker, so if you wear a foundation that is that color you are going to end up with the line below your chin.

What is the best way to kill, skin and barbeque a teddy bear?

I would say in front of a big group of little girlsWhat is the best way to kill, skin and barbeque a teddy bear?
Well...you've got to catch it first. This can be quite tricky depending on size and believe it or not, colour. Now the white ones are the hardest and such deceptive monsters, often found lurking behind sofas or under the blankets at the very bottom of beds.

Once you've mastered the art of teddy catching, your next job is to attck while it's not looking, but with it's always open eyes you're best coming at it from behind. The neck is the safest place to grab it, then shake the little monster until he no longer responds. Then rapid and fierce punches from behind, loads of teethwork, just tear into the little rotter and bite the stuffing out of him. You'll get the hang of it so long as you remember not to look into those deep brown eyes that will suck you into changing your mind. What is the best way to kill, skin and barbeque a teddy bear?
Perhaps you could show teddy your question that you've asked, 1st part done, he'll die of a broken heart. Next, skin him, by taking all the money from his moneybox. Finally, keep him 'till you die, he'll unfortunately be barbequed, along with yourself,.... they tell me it's pretty hot down there, :-)
You have to sneak up on them when they're hibernating. Careful not to wake the kid they're next to. You are best to strike them withj a blunt object, as the hunting rifle can be dangerous that near a sleeping child!!

Make sure your kill is clean.........a wounded bear is a deadly bear!!!

And you can't bbq them. They need to be spit roasted!!
For a polar bear dig a hole in the ice, put a dead animal in it, hide and watch.

When the bear comes to look wait until he /she is really interested, the very very quietly creep forward and kick it in the ICE HOLE.
Can loan you my Bull Arab dog if you like. He is renowned for killing and skinning teddy bears...and as a kicker...he usually hides them under our brick bbq where we keep the sticks/twigs.
That's scary. Why not just string a bunch of teddy bears together and decorate your house with them.
I don't know but please invite me. I'm starving NOW! I could make a nice salad to go with it.

What are the ways to improve face skin after quitting smoking?

I'll be turning 30 at the end of the year and I've quit smoking for 4 months now (yaaah!). Btw, I was a light on %26amp; off smoker for about 7 years, max 10 and sometimes none per day. Ever since I quit, I have been eating healthy (a lot of detox food), drinking lots of water, exercising regularly and sleeping well. However, my skin heals pretty slowly after a zit or 2, blemish doesn't go away easily and it doesn't seem to have that glow like before. Judging from the signs, I gather that the blood circulation to my face isn't all that good. I haven't thoroughly explored facial products option but I do have practise a basic regime, like exfoliating, face-washing, toning %26amp; moisturising. At this point, I'm desperate and I welcome ANY helpful hints. Thanks! What are the ways to improve face skin after quitting smoking?
Do deep breathing exercises to increase oxygen, and you might want to get a rebounder [mini trampoline] to use daily to increase your overall circulation.A good website about benefits of rebounding is Reboundair.com.And a good book on deep breathing exercises is Jumpstart Your Metabolism by Pam Grout.

You may need to add a good vitamin regimen to your routine as well, the B vitamins and vitamin E are necessary for repair.

What you should focus on is internal nutritional support verses external facial products.

Although one thing that you can use on the skin that will rush blood immediately to the surface of your skin is Apple Cider Vinegar.Put some on a cotton ball and apply all over your face, yes it stinks and don't get in your eyes. You will see immediately that your face is turning red as the blood is rushed to the area,it will fade so don't panic,it is refreshing and restorative, drinking it is also good for you, especially if you add honey to it.

How do I get rid of excess skin over my abs?

Working out won't rid yourself of the flab unless its running. Run everyday. Eat better. Go on a diet. How do I get rid of excess skin over my abs?
Sadly excess skin can only properly be removed through surgery, loosing weight too quickly is a common cause for excess skin..

However, you can really develop your midsection to make it a lot less noticable.

Check out http://www.freinsster.com for some real excercises to properly develop your abs.

Congratulations on the weight loss. I'm sorry but the only way to get rid of the excess skin is with surgery. I've seen programmes on tv with people who had the same problem. Exercise will only make you lose weight. Well done on the weight loss

  • What is the best skin care system for oily skin?

I'm in a place where there is lots of dust and its really hot. I need something that will protect my skin and not make it oily as well. What is the best skin care system for oily skin?
use an oil free face wash for acne. you can also use a scrub, but dont scrub alot because it makes more pimples come. it can dry your face, but then you face will make more oil to make it less dry and you breakout.

then use a toner. just buy a simple regular one. dont buy triple action ones or anything, unless your face is super super oily. they dry out your skin.

thats all you need. a cleanser and a toner. but if your face gets dry, use a non-pore clogging, oil free, non-comedegenic and lightweight. make sure you have atleast spf 15 or spf 30.

dont wear makeup. it makes things worse for where you are in. and use oil blotting papaers if you need too

oil blotting paper absorb the oil on your face

sooo its cleanse/tone/moisutrize (if necessary). then during the day if you find your face oily use oil blotting sheets. What is the best skin care system for oily skin?

How do you get perfect and creamier skin from head to toe?

I am a black teen girl (my skin is not chocolate dark, it is brown) and I want to know how to get your skin flawless and lighter/creamier/purer! I get white heads on my face often, I have dark circles under eyes, I have really small bumps the color of my skin on my face, My skin can either be dry or greasy/oily and I have large pores! Can you help me achieve perfect skin to die for? Should I wear sunscreen even though I am not white(not to be racist)? If so what type of sunscreen! Is there a daily regime I should do! Please help! I've always wanted great skin! How do you get perfect and creamier skin from head to toe?
EVERYONE needs sunscreen! UV rays are harmful to any skin type.

Check out a pore-reducing cleanser or face mask make for your skin type. Once I find a brand I like, I get multiple types so I can use which ever I need for that day.

Drink a lot of water (64-80 oz/day) and you'll see results within a few weeks (or less).

If you're young, your skin is going to change anyway. Stay away from future scarring by not picking at anything.

Pay attention to what you put near your face: are your pillow cases clean? Do you lean on your palm? Do you talk with your chin on the phone?

For the circles, make sure you get your sleep. Stick to a schedule and get at least 7 hours a night. If you're a teen, you need more.

If you don't see a difference after all that - and you must stick to it - then ask a dermatologist. I think you're gonna look great! How do you get perfect and creamier skin from head to toe?
sunscreen is the most important thing you could do for your skin. and moisturizer. non-drying cleanser. use a clean pillowcase or a clean towel over ur pillow everynight.. use rice papers or those thing blotting tissue to control oil. dont use astringents or anything harsh like that. ur skin may never be perfect and creamy but it can get a lot better, i got skin issues and i really like aveeno products. their gentle and calming to my skin that can be bumpy and irritated. oh yeah and hands off ur face no matter what, get use to it
I think the best you can do is to find a recomended estetician in your area, and go in for a full facial. She will know a lot about this stuff, and you can talk to her as she cleanses your face. I have large pores too, and the facials help me a lot.

And the UV block still makes sense, whites don't have a monopoly on wrinkles and cancer ;)
wash and exfoliate your skin every single day. wash your face 2-3 times daily. use a scrub such as st.ives that has the little beads in it. this will help to eliminate the whiteheads. wash with a soap such a dove. apply ambi fade cream around your eyes and on any blemishes. use fair and white lotion. this product will helpyour skin get clearer and lighter. apply a product sunscreen daily even in the winter and when the sun isn't out. drink plenty of water. ( i am a black female as well and i know exactly what you are talking about, iv'e also dealt with all of your skincare problems)
From all of the imperfections you have stated about your skin, I would believe that you need to address each with a different solution. Firstly you might want to visit a dermatologist. He/she will help you find the right creams and treatments to reduce the tougher things like deep ';bumps'; under the skin, which i believe to be ingrown zits. After the more difficult things are addressed you can start with the basic essentials which are: Exfoliating, Facial Scrubs, Toning %26amp; moisturising. For the moisturising you can also have a 2 in 1 sunscreen and moisturiser. From your description I gather you have oily skin so you need to keep this in mind when buying your skin products to find ones that are suitable.

I must add that beauty shines from within. So no matter how much creams you slap on and how many dermatologists you visit, you need to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, drink plenty of water and EXERCISE!

    I hope this helps, goodluck
my recommendation is that you use exfoliating scrub in the shower that really softens your skin and makes it really smooth it scrubs the dead skin cells away so you don't have different colour patches of skin. if not see a dermatologist, BTW sunscreen is not for white ppl lol its so that you don't get sun burn which leads to cancer any body can get sun burnt but not as quick as others trust me ull look fab !!! b4 you go to bed you should also put some really thick moisturising cream, then wear

woolly socks and clothes that will keep you really warm when you sleep and when you sleep the warmth of your body should really suck in the moisturiser plus sunscreen should always be spf 15+ even better spf 30+ and higher :)

How do you get rid of oily skin without the expense of products?

I can't really go to the market and buy products because my family is kind of tight in money. How do you get rid of oily skin without the expense of products?
All the previous answers are things to try, toner will close your pores after cleansing, witches hazel will dry your skin a bit and close your pores but is pretty hard on the skin and your facial skin may become very sensitive very quickly. There are some really inexpensive facial cleansers at say Walgreen's such as Deep Clean by Neutrogena. However, if you have zero money, have teenager skin and you don't want acne scars --go this route--use a really mild soap on your face like Dove maybe, just using your clean hands and warm water. Then dab very well with vinegar. It will take the oil off your face and clean and balance your pores. It will sting but really be soft and smooth after. For a facial mask for oily skin do what the old-time fashion models once did--take oatmeal and mix with milk (you can use water but I like milk for the skin). You can use it as a mask right away but I like it to sit overnight in the refrigerator overnight--makes the mix softer. Do not scrub your face with this oatmeal mixture as it is just to be dabbed on the face, let it dry a bit and keep building it up on your face. It will draw the oil off your face. The oatmeal is not round and soft really, so do not scrub your face with this mask. Let it dry and remove with warm water, then vinegar to balance the skin. Once again, if you have any money at all just go study the facial masks at like Walgreens and you're looking for the mud type masks for oily skin. The Walgreens products are like 2-3 dollars only. But, the oatmeal mask and vinegar toner are both good any time and should be mixed in anyway, just to remove oils and costs down over the years..How do you get rid of oily skin without the expense of products?
Drink more water to help clean out toxins that are in your pores and use inexpensive oil blotting sheets through out the day.
I use clean and clear daily oil strips.

They don't smudge your make up, and take the shine off your face.

You can get them at Wal-Mart for like, 4 Dollars
use lemon and honey as face mask twice a week
Make sure you are drinking plenty of water and eating enough Vitamin C everyday. These things flush out toxins in your body and are great for your skin! Good luck!
Just by Toner or Witches Hazel
The best way? quite honestly, modify your diet. Drink lots of water, and eat veggies and fruits. I did this awhile ago, and my skin cleared up, my face wasn't as oily.

btw--don't fret about oily skin; even though I'm a smoker, people tell me I look 1/2 my age. ;) There is a tremendous upside to oily skin.

An astringent can help with the oily skin, and face powder later in the day when you can't carry the astringent with you, like at school.
Go buy a $ 1.50 bottle of rubbing alchol and after your shower use a Cotton ball an apply it on the oily spots
Ah! Don't use straight rubbing alcohol on your skin. You'll go from oily to super dry, tight, and irritated. Instead, try buying a bottle of Witch Hazel from your local market or drugstore. This should be in the First Aid section. It's all-natural, not as drying as alcohol, yet works wonders on oily skin and breakouts. It even smells pretty darn nice (and it's a lot less expensive than those pricey toners).

    I hope this helps you!

What are the common causes of cracked skin on the heels?

Lately the skin on my heels (both feet) has been cracking, some of the cracks going quite deep and hurting to walk on. I've been taking care to keep my feet dry and warm but this doesn't seem to have alleviated the problem. Anyone know what could be causing it? Will a daily application of E45 cream likely do the trick? What are the common causes of cracked skin on the heels?
Soak your feet and pumice them, then smother with E45 wrap in cling film and put socks over, do it before you go to bed and in the morning your feet will be lovely and smooth. Trust me this really worksWhat are the common causes of cracked skin on the heels?
I'm not a expert but it's either from lack of moisture or infection.

I have really sweaty feet compared to everyone else around me and I've had nothing wrong with my feet but the smell.

I think if you keep it moisturized but don't let it dry over a long period of time because it might make it worse then i should heal away.

In the mean time I recommend wearing lots of socks for the pain and keepign sweat

    hope this has been helpful
Yes, it's painful. Skin dries out as you get older and I started to notice this problem from about 45 onwards. I use Scholl Heel Repair cream which is very effective, but now I make sure I keep my feel well moisturised when going to bed each night. If the cracks are open and deep use some germolene to take the pain away - stings at first but works wonders within half an hour!
it can be caused by many things, dryness, heat, as someone mentioned the shower...if not washed frequently..and so on.

the cream will help yes...if you have aloe or vit e that will help too and help heal the sore cracks...when you put the cream on and or the aloe or vit e .. put some socks on...to keep the moisture in...do this everyday....at start of day and bedtime...it should ease up....
    vaseline will do the job.

but also, its because it's lacking air and moisture, so use a foot stone to remove the dry skin, apply some vaseline each night before you go to bed, and walk bare feet as much as you can.

it from walking on hot ground. somtimes it can be ages b4 the results come but they do. do not moursturise the skin because it will cause more pain
    http://www.ourhealthnetwork.com/conditio…
athletes foot, if multiple people use the same shower as you, you may want to invest in a pair of shower sandals.
rub some baby oil on them and wear socks till they heal.. i used elmers glue on my cracked heels.. and that helped right away.. cool down feeling : )
A little bit of vaseline each evening.

It's just too much walking, that's all.

In some Asian countries, they believe that the lighter skin you have, the prettier you are. They even use bleaching products to make their skin whiter which they can buy or get it done at a beauty parlor. I obviously don't recommend this and say either makeup or just leaving yourself the way you are is the best way.

I think bleaching soap will do. Im not sure if they really work but just try them. You won't lose anything if you'll do, besides, they're just soap! Anyway, you try Myra 400e, im not sure if that's sold in your place but there are a lot in the Philippines. It's something you have to take...it's in a capsule...Myra 400e is for a whiter complexion WITHIN, sooo...once you took this and got whiter, you don't need to worry about being dark anymore...lol! hope you got that! xD

I really like all the Nivea Mens products...try a few of them. Also, quite affordable
Ladies' skin and men's skin are pretty much the same. You'll want something with spf30 or better. It just depends on how much moisture you need. If I remember correctly, Nivea came out with a really good line of men's care products. They had an aftershave balm that my husband really liked. Just make sure you get something with sunscreen in it. (you could even ask the ladies at the make-up counters at the mall to do a skin type test for you)

Tips for healthy wrinkle free skin.

Nature has provided us with many natural foods which are good for various ailments of the body. I have selected the following foods which are extremely useful for a youthful well maintained skin. The skin should stay wrinkle free , without blemishes or acne , taut and full of vigor. To maintain and encourage your skin to stay youthful , the following foods are useful.

    1. They are normal everyday foods and you will be surprised how much they can benefit your skin.

Oranges contain vitamin C which is most essential to protect your skin from harmful ultraviolet rays . This Vitamin helps in preventing wrinkles by producing collagen in the skin.

eat one whole fruit ( not just juice) everyday, regularly for beneficial effects.

Sunflower seeds contain essential fatty acids which help skin secrete natural oils that lubricate it and prevent water loss. This helps keep skin soft and supple, improve hair texture and reduce blackhead formation .

Take three teaspoons twice a week or use sunflower oil to cook your food in.Papayas are a low calorie fruit filled with the goodness of carotenoids releasing vitamin A. They have an anti oxidant effect and help in maintaining younger looking skin. One bowl ( apx. 200- 250 grams ) of fruit a day is enough.

Whole Grains are a source of Vitamins of the B group. They help in replacing dead cells in the skin and in fighting skin infections. Niacin in whole grain helps skin cells to absorb nutrients and release energy. I

n order to increase intake, simply replace your normal white breads with whole grain bread , biscuits and pasta with whole grain products.

Green Tea is loaded with flavonoids and antioxidants. They prevent skin from UV rays and free radical chemicals in the atmosphere, prevent wrinkle formation and remove blemishes from the skin. Take Green tea without milk boiled in hot water twice a day to enjoy the beneficial effects.

Pulses are a rich source of proteins that help skin glow. They contain biotin which also helps in controlling hair loss.

Simply cook well in boiling water to release nutrients and enjoy a protein rich meal.

Aloe Vera is considered a miracle plant with multifarious positive effects on the human body. The juice of this plant is very beneficial for patchy irritated skin, helps prevent acne and skin pigmentation. Simply take 30-40 ml of juice daily for better skin.

However do not extract juice from raw pulp but take the juice available at chemists in pre-packaged form. Raw pulp if ingested without processing can contain some harmful ingredients which can cause stomach upsets and more. Go ahead and incorporate the above foods in your diet and experience smooth, wrinkle free skin.

You may note that simply taking minerals and vitamins in pills will not help the skin. It is the hidden nutrients in the fruits that are a must haveWrinkles :

While you are young, the skin does a great job of stretching and holding in moisture. This elasticity is all thanks to certain fibers - present in the skin called elastin. This is responsible for keeping the skin at its youthful best.

The protein collagen gives the skin it's plump appearance and also prevents formation of wrinkles.

The depletion of this protein collagen results in the skin becoming thinner- making the epidermis sag and to reveal the first signs of ageing - wrinkles !!Wrinkles first appear around your eyes and under them, and also on your forehead.

This is so because our eyes have thin and delicate skin prone to allergies and dryness. Dryness aggravates fine lines and so does unprotected sun exposure.

Here are some Home Remedies to keep those wrinkles at bay ...If you have a dry skin , apply coconut or castor oil and leave it overnight .

If you are using castor oil, make sure you avoid the eye area, as it will cause irritation.Start your day with one teaspoon of honey with grated ginger added to it.

Honey is known to have the power to curb the wrinkle lines You can also apply honey directly on to your face and wash off after 15 minutes.

Apply egg white on your face and leave it on for 5 minutes. Rinse well and pat dry.Do you know ?Alcohol indirectly stimulates wrinkle formation! .

Alcohol causes water retention, bloating and puffing the body. But once alcohol content gets cleared up from the body, so does puffiness. This makes the appearance of fine lines prominent.

Facial exercises supply increased blood to the face . This keeps the face glowing and wrinkle free. Laughter is highly recommended to keep those wrinkles away.

Never avoid using reading glasses as this causes wrinkles around the eyes.Smoking also stimulates the formation of wrinkle lines around the mouth.

Antiwrinkle creams and gels work best in the night. This is because the metabolism of the skin is four times more in the night .

There are many common foods especially useful for clear blemish free youthful skin.Anti Wrinkle treatments are primarily as follows:

Chemical or glycolic facial peels and masksMicrodermabrasion or skin polishing.Fillers or derma liftsBotox for dynamic expression lines.

Chemical or glycolic facial peels are provided by Beauty Parlors and Health shops and help in prevention of wrinkles. The other three effective treatments require professional expertise.

A trained doctor (dermatologist) will normally offer these three treatments.Try home made face masks made with cucumber peels and shredded orange peel paste. Apply on face and wash off after 15 minutes.

Botox is effective for Dynamic expression lines but is painful as it involves injections and is also quite expensive. We now have an effective substitute for Botox. New Collagen substitutes have been discovered and they are very effective in reducing wrinkle lines. There are many brands in the market with essentially the same function.

They reduces wrinkles by helping the skin rejuvenate and help smoothen wrinkle lines. However they may require regular application to be effective. These Collagen substitutes are sold under various brand names and are normally offered free for a tria

What is the best remedy for dry skin other than lotions?

Is it possible for skin to become addicted to lotion. Because if it is, by hands certainly are and lotion doesn't work. I have been putting olive oil on them but that doesn't seem to work either. Any help? What is the best remedy for dry skin other than lotions?
To get the best benefit from olive oil, which is a wonderful natural healer and moisturizer, you have to massage it into skin over and over very thoroughly. If you do that it cannot only heal dry skin but get rid of many skin blemishes. It rid my skin of discolorations and brown spots and even moles overtime and lessened wrinkles and even rejuvenated skin, giving it a healthy, natural glow. Massage for a few minutes and you will see!

.SOURCE(S): 20+ years research into safe, natural cures and treatments of skin, scalp and hair conditions. What is the best remedy for dry skin other than lotions?
I saw two skin care experts on a talk show. They said that most lotions cannot penetrate the skin inless they contain alpha hydrox, an anti oxidant. So, I changed my face moisturizer to one with alpha hydrox, and within in six weeks I did see an improvement around my eyes. You might try to find a hand lotion with alpha hydrox.

Also, Eucerin make good body lotions for dry skin and so does Vaseline. You might also try coconut oil or Vitamin E oil.

Apply lotions after a warm shower... pores are more open then.
Dry skin needs plenty of cleansing, massage and generous quantities of oil and moisture. Use aloe vera gel after bathing on the dry areas. There are many helpful tips to cure dry skin at http://useinfo-dryskin.blogspot.com/
Creamy Vaseline- with white cotton gloves(over in pharmacy)try to remember and wash but do not dry in dryer.

Took me a long time to find this out........................
Drink lots of water. Not only is it good for you but it also hydrates your body from the inside out.
Lotions are lighter than creams, so go with a hand cream.

How do you get flawless shiny healthy skin like celebrities?

How do they get those great complexions and can wear bathing suits without any skin discolorations. What type of moisturizers and exfoliators are they using? Better yet, how do they get that great even skin tone? How do you get flawless shiny healthy skin like celebrities?
by NOT picking, drinking LOTS of water, washing your face, with an unscented, antibacterial soap when you wake up and before you go to bed, for the body its ok to use exfoliators. neatrageana is good, and sunscreen, but do NOT use exfoliating bead wash on you face. its the same as picking. good luck. a GREAT soap, the only one i use, is cetaphill gentle skin cleanser antibacterial soap. some stars that ive read use it include kate hudson and mandy moore. its 3$ a bar at your local wall-mart.How do you get flawless shiny healthy skin like celebrities?
Keep in mind that most of the pictures you see of celebrities are photo-shopped, however, I know for a fact that they drink at least 8 glasses of water per day to keep their skin hydrated, use an exfoliating soap everyday when your shower and use a really good moisturizer that helps to even your skin tone. Vaseline has a great lotion called Healthy Complexion. It smells great too so that's an added bonus. I hope this works for you, trust me it does for me.
like everyone else has picked up on its all smoke and mirrors (well really airbrush and phtotshop...) check out these before and afters they're for real.

but to get naturally healthy looking skin exfoliate, exfoliate EXFOLIATE! and moisturise with body butter, palmers coco butter is probably the best on the market and very cheap.
Genetics. Some people are born with clear even skin. Some get freckles, some get blotches. Some are just average. It is the spectacular that get applauded for their looks.

Then there is airbrushing. That's what they used to call it before photoshop was invented, or even digital pix.

Or just coat yourself with a thin layer of mud. People been doing that for millinea. And yes, mud, or minerals in paste, is what a foundation make-up is.
For commercials and red carpets they don't bathe for 3-4 days before the event. then they wash their skin and hair with only very small amounts of soap/shampoo. This is then to say nothing of the army of make-up artists and hair dressers who follow them everywhere. It's not a look most people can maintain everyday.
i always wondered the same thing! i got an email once showing the pix o celebs without makeup, and omg they looked even uglier than u imagain,,, they have moles and so much pimples on their face because of the makeup....

and when they wear the bathingsuits... its all fake and retouched... watch the 1st episode of UGLY BETTY on www.surfthechannel.com and ull know what i mean...

and if u wanna fix ur skin... DONT EVER use anything cheap!! cuz they have chemicals that arent gd 4 yr skin! use Clinique 3 step... its expensive,,, but really works, for *everyone*... its expensive, but if u want great flawless skin, u have to sacrifice!:P
My sister too was looking for various creams, lotions and medicines.

But she couldnt get any result.

Later she met a team of experts and now she looks grate

Best way is to meet an expert and hire her/him for the work

    then it would truly work
They have the money for the best dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and makeup artists. They're probably uglier then most people without all that makeup. No one is perfect.
a lot of them do that spray on tan now to keep that nice smooth complexion w/o baking their skin. Also, moisturizers and nicely paid dermatologists have all the secrets.
Gentle scrubs and moisturizing creams help (as long as your skin isn't sensitive), along with makeup and Photoshop.
put lotion all over yourself that evens skin tone (says specifically on bottle). olay, jergens, vaseline, etc.
Have you ever seen a star without their makeup and in regular clothes. They look like the average person.
Easy they don't really have good skin it's called photoshop people.
you have to first make $500,000 a movie then hire some one to air brush your entire body so that the flaws do not show......DUH
make up. You can get anything if you have money......
    photoshop
    dermatologist on call 24/7
    oatmeal
Digital Effects and alot of make up. trust me I'm in the film industry.
they got their own dermatologist to whom they pay a huge amount of money.
im guessing this is what you need to do

I've been using St.Ive's apricot scrub and baby lotion. How long does it take for sunburned skin to peel off from my face ?

What's the difference between spot-prone skin and acne?

Plus any tips or products about how to clear up my spots? What's the difference between spot-prone skin and acne?
acne is little sopts everywhere, face, sholders ect

spot prone is what i have, where you only get just a few but they bigger and they dont go anywhere else, only face and they go in a week

    acne last longer

go to the doctors, dont use the brads you see on TV they make it worst

1st hand experience at this. What's the difference between spot-prone skin and acne?
Acne is the technical term. Wash your face a lot and use a facial scrub
Depends how many spots you have. I'm not sure at what point spot prone skin becomes classified as acne, I think it may be when it starts scaring.

If spots are bothering you be it acne or spot prone skin, go to your doctor who will be able to prescribe you a topical solution. If that doesn't work then go back and they'll prescribe you antibiotics, this will work but will kick in slowly. One of the contraceptive pill treatments can be effective.

A chemist will also be able give you treatment over the counter but it won't be as effective as what the doctor will prescribe.

  • What does a facial do for the skin and is it beneficial for everyone?

I have sensitive skin, but would like to treat myself to a facial. Is this recommended even though I have sensitive skin and have never had a facial before? What types of things does a facial entail? What does a facial do for the skin and is it beneficial for everyone?
Yes you would be a perfect candidate for a facial. A facial cleanses the skin, removes dead skin cells and deeply hydrates the skin, it helps to regulate sebum production and increases blood flow etc. It is very beneficial. A regular Deep Cleansing Facial (1 hour) consists of the following:

    *Cleansing of your skin, twice

*Skin examined under a magnifiying lamp to work out which products would be best to use on you

    *Exfoliate with steam

*20 minute face neck and decolletage massage

    *15 minute mask

    * Serum, eye, neck and day cream applied.

The above can vary slightly depending on the line of products which the salon uses and the therapists techniques.

Often sensitive skin can be very dry so it is recommended to have a facial- not may people have true sensitive skin (in Beauty Therapist terms) but have slight sensitivities to various products. Still ensure that you tell the therapist that you have sensitive skin, to prevent any breakouts and to make sure that the correct products are used. Make sure that they only use a non abrasive exfoliant on you - preferably a Gommage or Bio Peel where they do not need to rub in or use any friction on your skin. I would recommend either going to a salon which uses natural products or going to one which uses a trusted brand such as ';Sothys'; as they have great senstive product lines.

**Once you have one facial you will become addicted :)What does a facial do for the skin and is it beneficial for everyone?
A facial generally consist of exfoliating the dead skin cells away, deep cleaning of the pores for any blackheads, solution to resurface %26amp; even out skin tone (which may be the exfoliant product), %26amp; then moisturizing. It is always beneficial to keep up a good skin care regimen which should consist of using products on a regular basis at home to improve skin %26amp; keep it looking fresh. If you are having a professional facial, when you speak to the Salons, ask them what they offer for persons with sensitive skin %26amp; discuss your options.
My sister does skincare. She has lots of clients that come in of all ages that have sensitive skin or acne. Facials are great for everyone. She even has lots of men that are clients. They can do so many different treatments for different skin types and problems. All make your skin feel great. Usually with a facial, they will give you some sort of mask and a neck and upper back massage. They can also do extractions to remove blackheads and other bumps. Try it!
I will give you advice without trying to sell you any products. From experience with VERY sensitive skin, i use what a dermatologist recommended; Cetaphil... you can get it in your groc. store or Walmart. It costs about nine something for a 16 Oz. bottle that last me a couple months with two people using it twice a day. Most products saying they are for sensitive skin will have a small amount of fragrance in them. You DO NOT want fragrance in your skin care products (even in small amounts) if you have sensitive skin. A facial will help keep your skin clean and your pores small.
Yes u can undergo facial...Just tell the aesthetician or dermatologist that u have sensitive skin b4 they do anything to your skin...

Facial consist of different steps, the higher the price of the facial the more complicated the procedures. But generally, they just clean your face, moisturize it, exfoliate it ( not necessarily in order) and it depends on how perfect your skin is.

What is a good remedy for dry skin on my cats?

I have a long haired black cat. When I brush her, the dry skin flakes are just awful and I am afraid she may feel itchy. I am looking for something to help her, without giving her a bath. I think that would hurt both her and me. Any suggestions? What is a good remedy for dry skin on my cats?
Hey, you can try fish oil pills or drops in her food once or twice a day. You can find them at grocery stores or the drug store, pretty cheap. Even though you don't want to give her a bath, it would probably help if you could try to with oatmeal shampoo or somehting like that. What is a good remedy for dry skin on my cats?
i guess just get a good shampoo for dry skin, and your supposed to bathe them like every 6-12 months. My cat had dry skin too, it could just be because of the weather and things like that, she still gets dry skin when the seasons change. :-]
Go to petco and ask a few questions...

U'll probly hav to bathe her though .... She won't like it, but it will help for sure with a good oatmeal animal shampoo.
What are you feeding her? She may be allergic to the food you are giving her.

Here is a good simple link you can read

Is there anyway to get rid of skin tags besides going to a doctor?

Is there anyway to get rid of skin tags besides going and having them cut off by a doctor? Any home remedies? Is there anyway to get rid of skin tags besides going to a doctor?
Rip 'em off, or clip them off with scissors or nail clippers. It only hurts for a minute. Have some antiseptic and a bandaid handy. :-)Is there anyway to get rid of skin tags besides going to a doctor?
I have cut a couple off with small scissors. It really doesn't hurt, just hard to do. There is not much need in going to a doctor for something so minor.

What causes the feet to have dry skin that sometimes can be painful?

There are many lotions and creams to alleviate the condition, but what can be done to prevent it?What causes the feet to have dry skin that sometimes can be painful?
It can be caused by ill-fitting shoes, by not walking properly (having an off balance gait) and by age.

It's best to get the hard skin removed - you can buy a special blade at the chemists if you don't want to go to the chiropodist. Apply softening cream every night at bedtime to help prevent it from returning.

Hard skin affects your feet's 'shock absorbing' abilities and will result in foot and leg pain if it's not dealt with. What causes the feet to have dry skin that sometimes can be painful?
definitely, putting too much strain on the foot, and not moisturizing the foot as other parts of the body. Also, walking around the house without no slippers or socks constantly

What is the best cleanser for sensitive skin?

Generally my skin has moisture in it (like my arms/legs), but my face is a different story. I dont get pimples, but I get small pimples in blotches because of dry environments or high heat/stress. I need a cleanser that won't cause me to break out but will cause these dry small pimples to go away. Can anyone suggest anything for me? I'm allergic to pimple acids and such, so I need a really gentle cleanser. What is the best cleanser for sensitive skin?
Cetaphil, all of it's products are made for sensitive, dry skin. What is the best cleanser for sensitive skin?
i have sensitive skin and i use clearasil daily face wash for sensitive skin. it has skin conditioners in it and it makes pimples be at bay. i never get serious pimples, and when i do, they're on my hairline so no one can see them! this is a miracle product!!!!! it doesn't have any acne acid or medicine, it just cleans your skin and makes you have no pimples. make sure you use toner and lotion because then your face will be perfect.
St. Ives is really good. If you get the one that just says Facial Cleanser and has the yellow stripe it is perfect! It is extremely soft and smoothes your skin. It cleanes the pores and then use the Neutrogena pimple cream for the pimples. Works great!
I use Clinique, and I have psoriasis, so my skin is REALLY sensitive. Cetaphil works well, too, when I don't have the money for Clinique.
Clinique is awesome for sensitive skin. I've used it for awhile now.
