How can you effectively cure tanned skin?

I'm indian and i used to be quite fair once.

But as the years past, i'm kind of turning darker. I'm sure its the tan because of sun exposure.

But i can't really change the sun exposure bit, because i have to go 4 my daily school sports.

Any natural remedies or tips to cure tanned skin and to prevent it?How can you effectively cure tanned skin?

Home remedies to remove Tan:

To remove tan, mix rice flour with curd and apply it on the face. Massage gently using circular moments and wash it off after 5 minutes.

Mix a little of curd, lime juice and honey and apply it on the face. It lightens skin color.

Lettuce juice can be used in packs to remove tan.

Apply raw potato juice to remove tan. It can also be mixed with a little lemon juice as lemon has natural bleaching properties.

Mix cucumber paste with lemon juice and fuller's earth and apply it for 15 minutes and then wash it off. It is an excellent anti-tan pack.

Here are a few tips that work for me. Hope it can help you too...

- Try and stay out of the sun between 11 AM and 4 PM. Use a sunscreen at all times. Make sure you apply it at least 20 minutes before you step out. Some good sunscreens are Banana Boat, Neutrogena and Kaya. Ensure that your sunscreen has a UV A and UV B block. Look for words like broad spectrum and dual protection which indicate this.

- Reapply your sunscreen every few hours. If you are outdoors, especially at a pool or beach.. reapply every hour or so

- Eat foods rich in anti-oxidants like carrots, papaya, pomegranate, beetroots and water melon. They act as internal sun screens :-)

- Being Indians, our lips are prone to darkening and pigmentation. Do use a lip balm with sunscreen to prevent darkening. Wear googles when out in the sun.

- Check areas like forehead and around your mouth to ensure you detect and seek help early for pigmentation.

- If you think your skin has already tanned a bit you can look for the services from a good skin clinic to help restore your skin to its former colour. Clinics like Kaya are offering summer packages specially meant to deal with your summer skincare problems. They have something called Summer Glow that is supposed to help with the problems of uneven, tanned skin. You can get more details at www.kayaclinic.com/designerskin
Look sweetie, I'm Arab and when I go outside I get tanned. It's in our genetics and it's completely natural. People pay lots of money to have skin our color, and we're lucky enough to get it naturally.

My family is into the whole ';fair skinned'; beauty thing and it's extremely lame and so 100years ago. You should bask in the fact that you have a natural glow, not try to lighten your skin...but I suppose that's just my opinion.
My arms are about 10 shades lightly than the skin on my belly, tighs and upper arms. I used to be very pale. The only thing you can do now is stay out of strong sun. Use sunblock often when going out and moisturizing.
u can apply aloe vera gel on the tanned skin... n try having a bath using milk instead of body wash or soaps regularly... it will help bringin out ur true skin color.. n whenever u go out in the sun ,dun evr forget sunscreen on the uncovered parts of ur body to avoid further tanning....
youre so like all other brown people

trying to look white.

(i'm brown)

geez like most brown people want to be white so badly. its your skin

deal with it!
wash your face every hour . and after about one month your skin will be cured......
